Black Rutilated Quartz is quartz that includes Rutile which is a black mineral consisting of ore from titanium dioxide which is known to be quite a rare gemstone.  This crystal is widely identified as the brightest crystals of all dark gemstones because of its capacity to hold the highest amount of light strength in black color. This crystal has a score of 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
