In my research of this gemstone, I learned “since the geological conditions necessary to create trapiche gems are uncommon, trapiche gems are some of the rarest specimens on Earth. This necklace is made from one of those rare Trapiche Amethyst stones. The deviations between the copper and amethyst are clearly seen when held up to the light and they’re beautiful! I wanted to design the wire wrap to show off the unique pear shaped stone instead of covering it up. Its wrapped in golden wire with swirls and hangs from a comfortable black cord with a lobster clasp.
